The sign says lost dog and has a picture and name of the dog.

Pedro is jogging in the park in his neighborhood and notices signs posted on trees. The next time he passes by one of the signs, he decides to take a breather and read what is being posted. The sign says lost dog and has a picture and name of the dog. The sign says, “I’ll pay $750 to anyone who returns my lost dog” and also provides the phone number and email address of the owner. Pedro takes a screen shot of the posted note. When Pedro gets home, he shows the screen shot to his friend Briana and Briana then asks Pedro to text her that screen shot. Briana and Pedro agree that if either of them find the dog and return it to the owner, they would split the reward 50/50. It just so happens that Briana finds the dog and follows the instructions (exactly as specified on the reward sign) to return the dog and collect the reward. When she delivers the dog back to the owner, the owner of the dog asks Briana how she knew of the reward. Briana mentioned her friend Pedro showed her the posted note. The owner said that since she did not directly know about the reward sign as this is now secondhand knowledge, they did not have a contract and refused to pay her the $750. Briana then sues the owner of the dog.
In completing this discussion post, please address whether there was a contract between Briana and the owner of the dog and why? Be specific and detailed as to why. Just providing there was or was not a contract is not sufficient.

*Discussion post to reply to is attached. Response is to Bryan – see attachment.
Reply must include Introduction (minimum 4 sentences with in-text citations), Suggestions/Recommedations, and Conclusion (minimum 4 sentences with in-text citations)
PROBLEM: Multiple-case case studies allow the researcher to use replication logic to evaluate the theoretical propositions and strengthen the findings of the studies. In this discussion, the example of a multiple-case study would be the culture of compliance to environmental regulations within investor-owned electrical utilities, local municipal electric utilities, and federal electrical utilities. The application of the same case study construct to the three distinct types of electrical utilities allows the researcher to show potential trends of similarity or differences. The researcher is then able to compare the trends and findings against the theoretical propositions to determine the validity of the study. The synthesizing of the data across three separate types of utilities allows the researcher to address outlier and rival explanations as a part of the research findings. As a consultant to the Kansas state leadership, the student will discuss what this Multiple-Case Case Study brings to bear on the source selection of the electricity provider for the state. The student must specifically speak to the application of a couple of business solutions (i.e. does this study identify a single solution or could it be parlayed into a range of solutions, do the outcomes of this study bring a scalable solution, what’s the difference between this and a simple business case analysis or cost-benefit analysis, etc.)
***Consider yourself another consultant and while still searching for the best business solution, analyze/respond to your peer’s main thread (not restating your main thread stance, nor critiquing your peer, rather while stating your agreement or disagreement, support, or refute their approach with supporting citations). You are writing (in a scholarly manner) to the reader, not to the writer, so omit the salutations, complimentary kudos, and ‘I totally agreed with you’-type comments. A business solutions application mindset is required.***

Through levi strauss suppliers will have access to cheaper capital than they would otherwise in their home countries.

What are the issues?
What are the analysis you want o provide?
What lessons learned?
Calling all hipsters: you may just have a new reason to feel better about your skinny jeans.
In a bid to bolster its ethical credentials and meet the demands of increasingly fussy millennial consumers, Levi Strauss & Co is offering a new financial incentive to suppliers as far away as Bangladesh and China to meet environmental, labor, and safety standards.
The San Francisco–based jeans maker said yesterday that it would begin providing lower-cost working capital to those of its 550 suppliers that do best on those measures.
The financing, which is being arranged with the World Bank’s private sector arm, the International Finance Corporation, will operate on a sliding scale. As suppliers improve their environmental performance and conditions for workers, they will be rewarded with lower interest rates on working capital provided through a special IFC facility.
The project sprang out of conversations started at the IFC following the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, which left more than 1,100 people dead and prompted new scrutiny of fashion brands’ supply chains.
Through Levi Strauss suppliers will have access to cheaper capital than they would otherwise in their home countries. However, Olaf Schmidt, who heads the IFC’s global retail practice, said that those suppliers that did best on labor and other standards would receive a further discount of up to 50 basis points on the interest charged.
The initiative comes at a time when consumers are becoming increasingly interested in the conditions in which their clothes are made. Multinational companies are responding by tightening their bonds with suppliers and using new tools to manage them.
Michael Kobori, Levi Strauss’s vice president of sustainability, said that the company told contractors about the scheme last week and had already received expressions of interest. If the pilot with the IFC worked, Mr. Kobori said, Levi Strauss was committed to helping expand it to the rest of the garment industry as part of a global race to the top in standards.
Rachel Wilshaw, ethical trade manager for Oxfam, said that offering incentives to suppliers to improve their

2-11. What other people and factors are involved? Who are the stakeholders, and how are they affected? Consider the process and what steps are necessary to make this good idea happen.
2-12. How do these types of incentives relate to the overall goal of sustainability for the company?
